Hi Val, many thanks. Basically the same methods and goals apply, and in many ways the “pack” can be extra helpful by magnifying your leadership role and calm state of mind. Many trainers actually prefer to use additional dogs when working with problem cases because the dogs take cues from each other, and you can even play them off each other (you get a treat and you don’t because you didn’t sit). Also, if you’re ever struggling with a behavior by one particular dog, it’s always a good option to intermittently work with them separately to avoid the distractions of the group.
